Private Industry Experience
Bev made the transition to her first industry assignment when she accepted a job with Cerner Government Services as the Deputy Program Manager for the Veteran Affair’s Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Program. The 2018 Cerner Government Services Acquisition award was set in place as a multi-year effort to modernize the VA’s nearly 40-year-old electronic health record system, VISTA. The new EHR, Millennium, gives VA providers secure access to patients’ complete medical history from the time they entered military service through their transition to Veteran status and beyond. The system will improve delivery of care and simplify the patient experience, connecting VA, the Department of Defense, the US Coast Guard, and participating community providers on one platform.
Bev next transitioned to ASM-Research, an Accenture Federal Services Company, as the Director for the Defense Health and Medical Systems Management portfolio. A few of the applications that Bev managed during this time was the Department of Defense Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) and the Remote Online Veterinary Record (ROVR) for recording and maintaining veterinary clinical information on the animals they treat. As a subject matter expert Bev provided input for the continual modernization and application support and management to other medical applications and medical devices that exist in the ASM-Research and Accenture portfolios.
